Rich Selvidge, CISSP
Rich Selvidge is the Chief Information Security Officer at PurpleSec security, providing singular accountability for all information security controls in the company.
Prior to joining PurpleSec, Rich was the Manager of Information Security Governance and Compliance at the American Automobile Association national office and president of Assured Compliance Technology.
Working at various offices within the Department of Defense he was responsible for teams of information security professionals who provided information security risk prevention and deterrence services, globally.
Rich is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) who has played major leadership roles in information security throughout his career. He has 21 years of information technology experience, sixteen focusing on information security risk management.
He combines strong organizational management and leadership skills with a high degree of technical knowledge, the result of hands-on information security experience during his career at the Army and Air Force Research Laboratories.
Over his career, Rich has been involved in acquisition related network integrations, and set up numerous secure top secret laboratory research environments and led multiple cross-industry forums.
Rich is enthusiastic about security within the Healthcare and Banking industries.
